Existing opportunities for volunteers
Below are some of the opportunities currently available for volunteers at Westbank. We are always finding new things for people to become involved with, so if there is something you would like to be involved with, that isn't listed below, give us a call and see if it is going to be offered in the future.

Exminster Youth Club: requires the support of volunteers to be able to continue to run. The management committee is made up entirely of volunteers. Download Information Sheet

Befriending: visiting a family or an isolated elderly person in their home Download Information Sheet

Driving: help to transport people with no other means, to get to medical appointments. Drive for your own surgery, so across the area. Choose to commit as much or as little time as you like. Download Information Sheet

Sitting: giving a carer a break by sitting with cared-for person in their home. Download Information Sheet

Rapport Project: helping young carers to be carefree. Download Information Sheet

Walking: leading short health walks in the local area for people who do little exercise. Download Information Sheet

Gym Club: assisting the gymnastics coach with groups of children aged 15 months to 12 years. Download Information Sheet

Family Time: helping out during a 2 hour session when parents / carers bring their preschool children in for fun, structured play. Download Information Sheet

After School / Holiday Club: helping with play activities, chatting with childrenDay Centre for older people: chatting, playing games, serving lunches etc. Download Information Sheet

Kitchen: helping our Cook to prepare lunches for Day Centre visitors. Download Information Sheet

Drop-in/Charity Shop: welcoming people, serving drinks, sorting & pricing donations, using till. Download Information Sheet

Admin & Hospitality: supporting the running of the organisation with various admin and hospitality tasks (e.g. filing, typing, organising teas & coffees for meetings). Download Information Sheet
